Showcase
Design it, build it, live in it
Five demos: a curved house modelled step by step, shape first and then every room furnished; a flat dressed from a moodboard, as an interior designer shows a client; a house going up week by week, as a builder keeps its owners up to date; the same house through a year of its weather, before anyone lives in it; and the flat with its smart home in hand, as the people who live there will use it. Try them on a computer, tablet or phone, with no account and nothing to install.
Sculpting
Any shape you can draw.
The Ribbon House, a dark concrete house on a hilltop. Press play and watch it modelled in Stori3D, one tool at a time. The deck is poured in a crescent over the garden room, the glass floors rise between rounded slabs, the roof's top is scooped down with Subtract, and one ribbon is swept with Follow Me round the roof, down across the bedrooms and on past the west terrace as a blade, its end cut to a point. Then each floor is furnished, piece by piece, while the floors above lift away so you can see in, and the lamps come on for the evening.
- Curved glass and rounded slabs from arcs, a deck and pool on an S-curve
- Push/Pull, Follow Me and stairs, the way you'd model it yourself
- A lounge, dining table and kitchen, a garden room, bedrooms with their baths
- Each floor furnished while the floors above lift off
- A link that opens the house at any step
A demo: the house is a sample, made with Stori3D's own tools and furniture.
Interior design
Set the scene with your client.
The flat as a cut-away model, with a moodboard beside it. Drag wood, stone, fabric or paint onto a wall, the floor or the sofa, and it changes where you drop it. Start from a mood, drag in furniture and arrange it, and pull the sun across the sky: the lamps come on at dusk, and the room's reading, cosy, bright or moody, follows. Copy the link and your client opens the same design.
- Swatches from Stori3D's finishes: oak, walnut, travertine, linen, bouclé, limewash and more
- Three moods to start from: cosy, bright and moody
- Furniture from Stori3D's own collection to drag in, move, turn or take out
- Any hour of a midsummer day, from morning to night
- A link that opens the design as you left it
A demo: what you change stays in your browser, and nothing is saved to the sample.
Building
Their house, week by week.
Villa Calma on its block, from the day the fence goes up to the day the owners move in. Drag along the timeline, or press play: the footings and slab are poured, the walls rise floor by floor, the roof goes on, the windows go in and the house is fitted out. The schedule beside it ticks off each stage, with each progress claim and what's been paid. Copy the link and your client opens the build on that day.
- Every stage of a house build: site start, base, frame, lock-up, fixing and completion
- Each stage's tasks and dates, ticked off as the build moves along
- Progress claims, and what's been paid so far
- Views from the street, the garden and inside the rooms
- A link that opens the build on the day you choose
A demo: the dates and figures are a sample, and nothing is saved.
Weather
Their house, rain or shine.
Villa Calma through a typical year of Sydney weather, hour by hour. Press Rain, Storm or Fog and the year goes to the nearest hour that has it; drag through the months and the time of day, or press play and watch the days go by. Clouds drift and shade the sun, rain wets the paving and dries after, the garden moves in the wind, fog closes in and the lamps come on at dusk. Your client sees the house in the weather it will have.
- A year that follows the Bureau of Meteorology's averages for Sydney
- Clear, cloudy, windy, rain, storms and fog, each in its season
- The sun where it stands on that day at that hour, and its shadows
- The weather now, the day hour by hour, and the month on average
- A link that opens the house at the hour you choose
A demo: the year is made up to follow Sydney's averages, so its days are typical rather than a record.
Smart home
Their home, and everything in it.
The same flat, with its lights, blinds, front-door lock and air conditioner. Tap a lamp in the model and it lights; dim it and the room dims as you drag. Lower the blinds, lock the door, warm the living room, or set the whole flat for the evening or for bed in one tap. The model shows what each device reports, so a change made at the wall shows here too.
- Lights, blinds, the lock and the air conditioner, where they are in the flat
- Scenes: Evening, Good night, Leaving home
- The flat by day or in the evening
- Built on Matter, the open smart-home standard
A simulated flat: its devices are Matter devices running in the cloud, driven directly rather than over a home network. Everyone who opens it shares the same flat.
